buyadnow.com ("buyadnow", "we") is a public ad board operated by Brian Ball. By buying an ad or using the site you agree to these terms.

How it works

You choose your bid, in whole dollars from $1. The amount you pay is your bid.
Your ad runs for 24 hours from the moment it goes live. Ads are ranked by bid; ties go to whoever went live first. Your rank can change as others bid.
The #1 ad is also shown on partner sites that embed the board (currently our own sites). Placement and number of views on those sites are not guaranteed.
Payments are handled by Stripe. We never see or store your card details.
Every ad is screened automatically (by Claude, an AI model) before it goes live.
We show your link's own share image (og:image) next to your ad, after screening it. We may leave it out if it can't be fetched or doesn't pass screening.
Spots with no paid ad may show our own products, marked "House ad". House ads always rank below paid ads.
Gifted ads: you may promote a link or profile that isn't yours. It is labeled "Gifted". Don't write as if you were the owner (no "we", prices or promises on their behalf).
Wanted ads describe a product you wish existed and get their own page. Anyone can tap "I want this too" or say "I'll build it". Those posts are screened too, and we may remove any of them.
Swipe file: when you submit an ad you admired, you give us permission to show your text, link and name. We show text and a link to the original only, never copies of anyone's images. Submissions are screened, and we may remove any of them.
Profile spots (X, Instagram, LinkedIn) scroll along the bottom of the board and have their own price ladder.

Refunds

If an ad is rejected by screening, you are refunded in full.
Once an ad is live, there are no refunds, including when you are outbid.
Ads that break the rules below may be removed at any time without a refund.

Content rules

No illegal goods or services, scams or phishing, malware, sexual content, hate or harassment, violence, impersonation, or deceptive claims. You must have the right to use any name, brand or link in your ad. We can reject or remove any ad at our discretion.

Your ad

You are responsible for your headline and link and what it points to. You give us permission to display your ad publicly and to keep it in our records.

No guarantees

The service is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind. We don't guarantee clicks, traffic, position, or uptime. To the fullest extent the law allows, our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid for the ad in question.

Changes

We may update these terms. The date above shows the latest version. Continuing to use the site means you accept the current terms.
