Privacy Policy

This page explains what buyadnow.com collects and why. Short version: we collect as little as we can.

What we collect

Your ad: the headline and link you submit. These are shown publicly and kept as history.
Payment: Stripe processes your payment and handles your card and billing details under Stripe's privacy policy. We keep only the Stripe session ID, amount, and payment status.
Hearts and "I'll build it" posts: to allow one heart per person and to limit spam, we store a salted one-way hash of your IP address, never the address itself. A build post shows the name and link you give us.
Embedded ads on other sites: the buyadnow embed sets no cookies. We count views and clicks per site per hour, with no data about individual visitors.
Technical logs: our host, Cloudflare, processes standard request data (such as IP address and browser type) to run and protect the site.

Who we share it with

Stripe, to take payments and issue refunds.
Anthropic, whose Claude model screens your ad text and link before it goes live.
Cloudflare, which hosts the site and its database.

We don't sell your data and we don't use it for advertising.

Cookies and tracking

The public board uses no cookies, analytics, or tracking scripts.

Your choices

To ask about or delete your data (for example, an old ad from our history), email hello@buyadnow.com. Payment records held by Stripe may need to be kept for legal and tax reasons.

Children

buyadnow is not for children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their data.

We may update this policy. The date above shows the latest version.
